What is a charter school?
Charter schools are independently operated public schools. There is no charge to parents because funding comes from state and local taxes. Charter schools must meet the same academic requirements as traditional public schools but are also directly accountable to parents.

What are the office hours?
The school office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Our summer hours will be determined at a later date

What are the school hours?
School instructional hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 2:30PM. School begins each day for all grade levels promptly at 8AM.

What is the focus of your curriculum?
The focus of our curriculum is to prepare students for College and Career readiness focusing on Common Core Standards.

Is your school free?
Yes, our school is a state-funded, independent public charter school that is free to all students. We do however, often have a waiting list.

Is there an attendance phone number the parent/guardian may call in the event of an absence?
Yes, parents may reach the office at (954)358-4200 between 7:45am and 6:00pm or leave a message.

Do you have a lunch program?
Yes,  lunch is catered in by an outside company, Yummy in my Tummy.

Does this school offer special education services?
Yes, as a public school, we provide special education services aligned with each student’s IEP. We have a full-time ESE teacher, and contract out for speech and language as well as counseling.

What is the maximum class size and are there computers available for the students use?
Imagine Charter School at Plantation follows class size reduction; 18 students in grades K-3 and 22 students in grade 4-7.

Does the school call me when my student has an unexcused absence?
Yes, once attendance is entered into the system, an automated call is made from Broward County Public Schools.

Do you offer after school extra-curricular activities?
Extra-curricular activities are offered. They may vary from year to year, depending on the demand for the activity. There is usually a cost for after school enrichments.

Are Imagine Schools teachers highly qualified?
Yes, our teachers are highly qualified and continuously educated in all areas to ensure the best possible education for your student. Additionally, all faculty members hold a valid fingerprint clearance card.
